The construction of the Wind Farm will be a significant investment and take up to 2 years to fully complete. At its peak, a workforce of at least 200 people is required to construct the project. Orange Creek Energy Pty Ltd requests that all companies and individuals who want to be part of building this exciting project register their interest, and we will keep you updated once the contracts and job opportunities are finalised. Once the wind farm is operational, there will be around 20 permanent staff, and these staff will live locally.

There are a large number of roads to be built, power cables to be laid, power lines to be erected, wind turbine foundation holes to be dug and concrete to be poured and turbines to be built. As well as direct employees there will be a large number of services that need to be contracted. Opportunities for local suppliers to get involved to supply services during the construction and operational phases, include:

  • Plant and equipment hire

  • Road construction

  • Excavation and earthmoving

  • Trenching

  • Concrete batching and supply

  • Electrical contracting

  • Cranage

  • Steel fixing

  • Logistics

  • Electrical works

  • Accommodation and food providers
